Connecting with youth through Camperships!

June 7 - In collaboration with the Palmdale United Methodist Church Campership fund the Palmdale UMW hosted a UMW Campership Tea, where all monies went to help send children from Palmdale UMC to camp. Praise the Lord! Over $1,000 was raised!

Kesley Lee, Co-Dean of the Elementary Camp, along with Abraham, Laurin, and Breanna, all high school campers, bring the spirit of camp to the tea by singing some good old fashion Christian camp songs.

The UMW Arts & Crafts group join in by selling goodies also to benefit Camperships!

A big thank you to everyone who made this tea a huge success!!!

Especially the Palmdale UMM, who served us through cooking a traditional camp lunch of BBQ Hamburgers!

Reading Program

The purpose of the Reading Program is to encourage United Methodist Women:

(1) to expand understanding of and participation in God's mission;
(2) to increase sensitivity to all human beings-their needs, interests, and concerns;
(3) to encourage critical thinking about issues facing humanity today;
(4) to grow in understanding of Scripture as it relates to Christian faith in contemporary life;
(5) to enhance self-knowledge and to act from that knowledge;
(6) to strengthen involvement in local and global Christian mission.
